What's a wiki? Wikis are written works done by a collaboration of people on a network. The most famous and largest is wikipedia.com. It's great. It's the worlds largest encyclopedia, and it's written by anyone that wants to contribute. If you know something, or think you know something, you can edit the encyclopedia. It seems like this would lead to chaos, yet it works! It works because if you write something that's wrong or even not very good, someone else will come along and either revert or change your edit. Give it a try; you probably know enough to edit the article on R/C airplanes. If you don't feel comfortable with that, play in their sandbox. Help us write the new member info packet by going to it (here), clicking "edit page", and editing it. You can't make a mistake because every version is saved, and someone can always fix it, or revert it. But if you make a change, please note the nature of the change in the "describe the changes" box. Any controversial edits can be discussed in the page's discussion section. |
